Who am I?
My name is J.R. Sosky and I have always loved the imagination of this planet...even though I have only seen a very small fraction of it. I finally picked up a camera and started to document what I was seeing. I still have a long way to go in learning this craft and A LOT more to see and find, but that's what has been fun about this process. I guess you can find me all over shooting photos - from on the ground trying to photograph insects, at the beach in the early morning, or underwater, I just want to enjoy this imagination as much as I can.
What is "ba-ow"?
Ba-ow (pronounced bay ow) stands for "be aware of wonder". I went on a field trip one year with some of my students and saw that phrase painted on a wall. I instantly grabbed onto it and use that phrase to drive my photography. Wonder is all around us and I like to find it. Whether through the work on this website or especially from the work of other like-minded photographers, videographers, or artists, I hope you find wonder around you as well. Find it, cherish it, take care of it. Thank you so much for visiting this website. I really appreciate it. Many blessings and much aloha.
